HAVE YOU OR YOUR LOVED ONES BEEN SCREENED RECENTLY?
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, as many of you know. A very important component that can save a life is regular screening. Continue reading below for some FAQ’s.
Can breast cancer be found early?
Breast cancer is sometimes found after symptoms appear, but many women with breast cancer have no symptoms. This is why regular breast cancer screening is so important.
What do Imaging Tests help to detect?
Different tests can be used to look for and diagnose breast cancer. If your doctor finds an area of concern on a screening test (a mammogram), or if you have symptoms that could mean breast cancer, you will need more tests to know for sure if it’s cancer.

Outside of work I like to spend my time outdoors, at the lake, traveling to new places, and spending time with my dog Nova, my husband, family, and friends.

If you could snap your fingers and become an expert in something what would it be?
Being two places at once.
What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?
I am pregnant with my first baby right now.
What do you do to turn things around when having a bad day?
When faced with a bad day, I reflect on the positive side of the day and know tomorrow is a new day.
Do you have a hidden talent?
I used to show cattle all year round when I was growing up.
If you had to pick one age to be permanently, which age would it be?
My age now, 26!
Why did you choose Caring Friends?
I grew up in the business helping my mom at the assisted living and with Caring Friends when it first started. When I would come home from college I would fill in as a caregiver and knew when I graduated nursing school this was a place I wanted to end up working for my career. Being able to take care of individuals in their homes (and being the reason they’re not in a facility) is a feeling unmatched and very rewarding.
