VA Aid & Resources
Caring Friends is proud to be part of the VA’s Community Care Network and provides services for all VA home care benefit programs.
Many veterans who served honorably are unaware of the many VA benefit programs available to help cover the costs of in-home care. With years of experience, we help Nebraska veterans of all ages understand and apply for the help they’ve earned and deserve.
How to Get VA Benefits for In-Home Care
- Contact your VA health care team to request home care services for the veteran.
- Include details regarding any activities of daily living that veteran is not able to perform without assistance.
- The VA determines the veteran’s eligibility and the proper next steps to meet with their team and get documentation completed.
- The veteran may need to see their provider in person as part of the approval process.
- Share with the VA which home care company you have selected.
- Once approved, they will send an authorization to the provider on your behalf.
