FAQs

How do we get started with service?

You can contact us or you can call 402-207-1050.

We collect client demographic information, and our team will call to set up an assessment based on your availability.

How are services covered?

Most clients pay for our services privately. We have an hourly fee. We do not charge a minimum weekly fee or mileage to our clients.
We also accept VA and Medicaid Waiver Clients as well.

I have Medicaid. How do I know if I qualify?

Please speak to your Medicaid worker at 402-471-3121 to determine if you are eligible for Home and Community Based Waiver services.

Do you do offer coverage on Weekends? Holidays? 24-hour care?

Yes.  This may be limited to certain geographic areas. Please call us for more information.

Are your Caregivers/Care Companions licensed Nurses?

Our care companions are not nurses but they do receive specific training for their role.  Our services are non-medical.
Caring Friends employs nurses to evaluate new clients, ensure the level of care is met and monitor client changes.

If a client needs skilled services, Home Health services can be a complimentary service and our team can help connect you with providers in your area.

Can I be a caregiver for a family member?

Absolutely.  Candidates who are 19 or older, have a valid driver's license and pass a background check are eligible for employment.

Will I have the same caregiver every visit?

We aim to have 2 consistent caregivers for each client to allow for time off.

Are you able to do transfers?

Yes, if the client is considered stable and predictable. We will match you with a trained caregiver.

Where is your service area?
